On Tuesday, Thailand's Department of Special Investigation conducted raids at six locations in Samut Sakhon Province and one location in Uthai Thani Province, confiscating 3,642 mining machines valued at $7.7 million (270 million baht) and electrical equipment worth $860,000 (30 million baht). Thai investigators discovered that most of the mining equipment was installed in soundproof containers equipped with water-cooling systems. These locations are linked to a fraud syndicate based in Myanmar, whose financial transactions have totaled over $143 million (5 billion baht).
