**[Tom Lee: Ethereum to Embrace Its "1971 Moment" in 2025, Becoming the Core Infrastructure for Tokenization by 2026]** Foresight News live report: Tom Lee, Chairman of Ethereum treasury company BitMine, delivered a speech at Binance Blockchain Week, stating that despite the market correction since October, he remains strongly bullish on crypto assets. He believes the traditional four-year cycle is becoming obsolete, and the current correction is more driven by deleveraging rather than macroeconomic cycles. He predicts Bitcoin could reach new highs in January next year and highlights that 2026 will be a pivotal year for asset tokenization, with the U.S. and institutions accelerating their shift toward crypto assets. He emphasized that Ethereum is currently at a historical turning point similar to the "dollar decoupling from gold." Global financial institutions are building tokenization and settlement infrastructure on Ethereum, positioning it as the foundational architecture for future finance. Unlike Bitcoin, which primarily relies on network effects, Ethereum also benefits from real revenue and on-chain economic support. He further stated that prediction markets will drive tokenization into more granular pricing scenarios, such as corporate earnings. Lee noted that BitMine has become the world's largest ETH holder, actively investing in staking networks and DeFi, and that digital asset treasury companies will play a crucial role in bridging crypto and traditional finance. Tom Lee stated that 2026 will mark the "tokenizing everything" phase, where not only the dollar but also stocks, bonds, real estate, and other assets will be tokenized. Wall Street will launch related products based on smart contract platforms, with most of these products built on Ethereum. He mentioned that the majority of real-world asset (RWA) developments are concentrated on Ethereum, which continues to undergo upgrades.
