He just doesn’t get why I refuse to touch crypto because of feminism.
When he comes over to my place on weekends, he’ll buy some shares of cryptocurrency.
I’ve been used to not touching crypto since I was 18,
but he’s a big crypto person.
In a household with zero innovative investment vibes,
investing in crypto is just the easiest option.
Stocks are okay—if he leaves them until his next visit, they won’t lose value too drastically.
But during the week, I always frown at the few crypto transactions on the trading platform,
because I don’t touch crypto.
Just imagining other female mammals like me
having to constantly stress and study the market makes me feel guilty.
Crypto itself is intriguing,
but ever since it became part of the blatant speculation chain
and entered trading platforms, it’s always been manipulated.
I have the right to choose not to invest,
while his investments are purely to sustain the speculation chain.
I don’t support extra-speculation,
so I simply “refuse to touch it.”
I can buy bonds or switch to funds.
If friends gather to discuss legitimate investments, I don’t shy away.
I even fully accept normal financial planning activities by investors—
that’s part of their wealth management.
But me? I just can’t place an order for crypto on a trading platform
and become part of an illegal financial chain.
When I asked him to leave, I told him to drop the crypto shares thing because I won’t get involved.
This week, he made excuses, saying it’s a rare opportunity he can’t miss.
With a rational, worried, and resolute mindset,
I allocated myself a stable bank financial product.
“Ha Ji X comes across as so approachable on social media that many people pretend to forget the fear, awe, and respect they should have for someone of his level. ↕️”
He’ll never understand me.
