‘Nowadays, who doesn’t claim they’re doing RWA, but on-chain it’s still more PPT than actual funds.’ I was nodding in agreement at the time. Then, a couple of days later, I got slapped in the face. Scrolling through X, I saw a series of updates about @SeiNetwork: On one hand, their lab is researching next-gen MEV, paired with their own Giga upgrade, figuring out the rules for high-speed trading first; On the other hand, Binance has directly enabled USDC deposits and withdrawals on Sei, so money can flow in and out of exchanges seamlessly; Looking further, there’s already nearly $30 million in real assets on-chain, backed by traditional giants like BlackRock, Hamilton Lane, and Apollo; The most active app on-chain isn’t some loot box game, but TakaraLend, a lending-focused financial app; Meanwhile, the foundation is working with U.S. lawmakers on fundraising, having direct conversations about ‘how to create regulation that’s more innovation-friendly,’ while the team is also publicly explaining their approach to tokenization and institutional DeFi. At that moment, I had a very clear feeling: Some chains are always shouting ‘I want to bridge the real world,’ while @SeiNetwork is the type that’s quietly paving the road and already has cars driving on it. When big capital, real assets, regulation, and applications start converging on the same chain, it might not be the one that pumps the fastest, but it’s likely to become the path real-world money will naturally take in the future. Now I’ve set three small goals for myself: Occasionally make a couple of transactions on Sei to confirm it’s not just talk; Pay attention to every mention of ‘real-world names’ and the scale of new assets, instead of just staring at the candlestick charts; Wait for the day when traditional finance reports start habitually referring to Sei as infrastructure—that’s when you’ll know this road has truly been built.
