[Six Departments: Orderly Development of Platform Consumption] Jinshi Data, November 26 – The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and five other departments have issued the 'Implementation Plan on Enhancing the Supply-Demand Adaptability of Consumer Goods to Further Promote Consumption.' The plan proposes the orderly development of platform consumption. It includes the orderly development of new business models such as live-streaming e-commerce, instant retail, curated retail, and circular e-commerce. Platform enterprises are encouraged to lawfully and compliantly utilize artificial intelligence technology to analyze user needs and match products and services accordingly. Support is provided for platform enterprises to apply digital intelligence technologies such as virtual reality, the metaverse, artificial intelligence, and blockchain to create multi-scenario, immersive consumption experiences. Platform enterprises are guided to carry out brand and quality promotion activities to stimulate consumption. The plan emphasizes the primary responsibility of platform enterprises, strengthening the review of operator qualifications and product information verification, and improving mechanisms for the rapid resolution of consumer disputes.
