“AI will radicalize the professional class.” If you put millions of people in the “professional class” out of work, we will have a revolution. Lawyers, non-profit white collar workers, people who spent 200,000 on bachelors and masters and PhD degrees… these people are strivers and when they see their lives falling apart from AI making them obsolete, they will take action. We may already be seeing that in NYC. People feel lost and want govt to “do something”. People keep telling us that AI will create lots of new other opportunities. But tell that to the millions of white collar workers who can’t pay their mortgage while they figure it out.(Wall Street Mav)
