Binance's approach, I think, makes sense—going for memes in a bear market. $BTC and $ETH are already highly correlated with the U.S. stock market. Only things without ETFs are truly priced by the crypto space itself. VC coins face massive permanent linear sell pressure, so why not focus on memes instead?
When $BTC drops, memes can rise here, at least giving the market something to play with. For most users, understanding something like Pendle is too difficult (honestly, I can’t figure it out either). Memes are great because they can be unaffected by the market. Just look at Giggle and JellyJelly—at the end of the day, it’s all about the game. The crypto space needs to create things that can be priced independently during a bear market.
