[Report: 39% of High-Net-Worth Clients in the UAE Hold Cryptocurrencies, Only 20% Managed Through Traditional Institutions] According to CoinDesk, Swiss software company Avaloq conducted a study on the investment attitudes of high-net-worth individuals in the UAE. The study found that despite the exceptionally high demand for digital assets in the region, 39% of the surveyed high-net-worth clients hold cryptocurrencies, but only 20% of these cryptocurrency investors use traditional wealth management institutions. The survey was conducted between February and March 2025, covering 3,851 investors and 456 wealth management professionals. The survey revealed that 63% of investors have switched or are considering switching management institutions, partly because their questions about cryptocurrencies remain unanswered. Akash Anand, Head of Avaloq for the Middle East and Africa, stated: 'As cryptocurrencies evolve as an asset class, private banking relationship managers increasingly need to meet the needs of these largely underserved clients. As a result, traditional wealth management institutions are scrambling to equip themselves with the capability to offer cryptocurrency services.'
