Eigen has recently been posting a lot about AI verification, which seems to suggest they’re heading in that direction. Honestly, the biggest moat for crypto is verifiability. $BTC made currency and transactions verifiable without relying on third parties, and $ETH built on that by adding verifiability for computation. Does AI need verifiability too? Maybe not for things like chatting or generating images today, but as AI gets deeper into supply chains and critical decision-making, the demand for verification will explode.
Enterprise applications will likely be the first to hit this need. In the long run, it’s a bit like the early days of the internet and the demand for 'encrypted transmission.' At first, people were just watching movies and reading news online, and no one thought it was necessary. But then online shopping came along, and suddenly credit card info, addresses, and phone numbers became sensitive. The market realized that without SSL, e-commerce simply couldn’t happen.
