[Kraken Launches Cryptocurrency 'Perpetual Contracts' Trading in Certain Regions] According to The Block, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken is rolling out a new product: perpetual contracts. Reportedly, as the exchange prepares for a potential public listing as early as Q1 2026, perpetual contracts have become its latest product expansion initiative. Kraken's perpetual contracts will be available starting Thursday to eligible customers in specific jurisdictions. These are a type of futures contract that allows traders to make 'high-certainty' bets on future events. Kraken noted that its perpetual contracts come with several 'built-in safeguards,' including stop-loss features to limit potential downside losses if 'market movements go against your predictions.' At launch, traders will be able to use their Kraken USD balances as collateral, with support for other assets to follow.
