[Shiba Inu Developers: LEASH v2 Migration to Begin in the Coming Days Following Security Audit by Hexens] Shiba Inu developers stated on Tuesday that the long-delayed LEASH v2 migration will commence in the coming days after security firm Hexens completed its audit and approval of the new token and its migration contract. Previously, the team had pointed out a hidden flaw in the original LEASH code that compromised its fixed supply design, leading to months of uncertainty. This approval marks the resolution of the issue. The developers noted that after implementing new fixes, the contract will be unable to mint new tokens under any circumstances, and the entire supply of the v2 version has already been pre-minted into a multi-signature wallet. During the migration process, v1 tokens will be locked or destroyed, while the multi-signature wallet will release v2 tokens proportionally to each holder's stake. The redesign is based on the OpenZeppelin ERC-20 library to ensure token simplicity and auditability. Any advanced features (such as privacy layers) will be added later through wrappers rather than modifying the base token.
