We're in the final stages of rolling out a new per‑transaction gas cap of 16,777,216 on Base. This aligns Base with the L1 proposal EIP-7825 and improves network predictability. It has no effect on fees for typical users. This change went live on Base Sepolia last week, and will be deployed on mainnet on Sep 10.
