**[Galaxy: Tokenized Shares of Galaxy Require KYC, Shareholder List Updated in Real-Time During Token Transfers]**
According to a report by Jinse Finance, crypto financial services company Galaxy Digital (stock symbol: GLXY) announced on September 3 that it is tokenizing its shares. Starting today, shareholders can tokenize their GLXY shares through Superstate's Opening Bell platform. Galaxy stated that these tokenized shares are not derivatives or representations but are Galaxy Digital Class A common shares, carrying all the rights associated with them.
Galaxy's tokenized shares will be available to KYC-verified investors, who can hold and transfer the shares in their crypto wallets. When on-chain transfers occur between verified participants, ownership records will be updated by Superstate, which will act as the official transfer agent. During token transfers, Galaxy's registered shareholder list will be updated in real-time. The contract address for Galaxy shares on Solana is 2HehXG149TXuVptQhbiWAWDjbbuCsXSAtLTB5wc2aajK.
Galaxy also stated that, as part of the U.S. SEC's "Project Crypto" innovation agenda, Galaxy and Superstate are exploring ways to trade tokenized public shares via AMMs in a regulatory-compliant manner. Subject to meeting these regulatory requirements, Galaxy's tokenized shares may be listed on AMMs and other DeFi platforms.
