According to Golden Finance, Bo Hines, Executive Director of the White House Cryptocurrency Committee, refused to disclose the amount of Bitcoin held by the US government in the latest podcast episode. Previous reports have shown that the actual amount of Bitcoin held by the US government may be much lower than the 200000 previously estimated by Trump's cryptocurrency advisor David Sacks, at only 29000.
Hines stated that specific numbers cannot be discussed at this time, but confirmed that the government plans to increase its holdings of Bitcoin through a "budget neutral" approach. It is worth noting that due to differences in asset classification methods, currently only confiscated bitcoins that have completed judicial proceedings can be counted as government assets, while bitcoins that are in a state of seizure still face legal uncertainty.
