When we took office, Jamaica owed 130% of what we produced each year. Every dollar went to debt, not development. Today, that number is down to 68%, and we’re using the savings to build roads, fix hospitals, and invest in people, without raising taxes. Now, we are in a position to invest in maintenance and development, not just survival. That’s what a healthy economy does. And we’re going to continue reducing the debt, managing the economy responsibly, and putting more resources where they belong, in the lives of the Jamaican people.
