Germany finds DeepSeek app illegal, Apple and Google are required to take it down

According to Bloomberg, a senior privacy regulator in Germany has officially notified Apple and Google that Chinese AI service DeepSeek violated German law by transferring user data to China, which constitutes illegal content. Previously, German regulatory authorities had requested DeepSeek to take down or implement data protection measures in May, but the company did not respond.
