According to Decrypt, cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has submitted a complaint letter to the Inspector General of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), accusing the agency's law enforcement agencies of launching a "legal battle" against it for seven years, with the motive not for market regulation, but for individual officials seeking personal careers. Gemini claims that the case originated from a false whistleblowing report submitted by a former executive who was fired for assisting in kickback fraud but may have received a reporting bonus of up to $1.5 million. Gemini pointed out that the key witness has been found by the arbitration institution to have lied multiple times, but the CFTC still insists on prosecution and reached a settlement with a fine of $5 million at the beginning of this year. Gemini criticized the case for not causing actual harm to the market and called for reform of the CFTC enforcement culture. http://(wublock123.com)/index.php? m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=6&id=44171
