Bybit obtained MiCA license from Austria and officially joined the EU compliance system According to CoinDesk, the cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has been approved by the Austrian Financial Supervisory Authority (FMA) and has obtained an operating license under the framework of the Crypto Asset Market Regulation (MiCA), officially entering the digital asset compliance system commonly used in the 27 EU countries. Austria is also a MiCA registered country for Bitpanda. Bybit, headquartered in Dubai, experienced a major security incident in February 2025 where $1.5 billion in assets were stolen.
