Odaily Planet Daily News: On May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz, a programmer involved in the Bitcoin Pizza Festival, spent 10000 BTC to exchange for two large John's pizzas. However, what most people did not realize was that Laszlo Hanyecz spent an additional 79000 BTC on subsequent pizza purchases that day, which are now worth over $8.7 billion. In a 2019 interview, he also mentioned that he spent nearly 100000 BTC on pizza purchases using Bitcoin in 2010. In addition, to confirm that all of his Bitcoin holdings were used to purchase pizza, Laszlo Hanyecz also posted his Bitcoin address on the Bitcointalk forum. The wallet showed that from its creation on April 10, 2010, to August 4, 2010 (the day he ended the public transaction of exchanging Bitcoin for pizza), more than 79000 Bitcoin were sent. The Bitcoin in the wallet was cleared in June 2011, with a total outflow of slightly more than 81432 Bitcoin. (Forbes)
