Foresight News reported on May 14th that French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau invited cryptocurrency professionals to meet with Pierre Noizat, co-founder and CEO of Paymium, after his daughter and grandson were openly kidnapped. Retailleau told the European 1/CNews broadcasting company, "I will convene businessmen working in cryptocurrency, including several in France, and we will work with them at the Ministry of the Interior to ensure the security of cryptocurrencies." Jameson Lopp, co-founder of the crypto punk and self hosting company Casa, created a list on GitHub that records dozens of offline cryptocurrency thefts, including 22 cryptocurrency related offline thefts so far this year. Many cryptocurrency industry insiders emphasize that anonymity is the only way to effectively protect holders and their intimate circles from the so-called '$5 wrench attack'.
