According to CBS News, earlier this year, Trump requested that Treasury Secretary Bessent and Commerce Secretary Lutnik jointly develop a proposal for a US sovereign wealth fund by early May, but the White House rejected some parts of the proposal. Currently, multiple sources have indicated that the proposal has been submitted. However, one of the sources stated that the White House is concerned about the actions taken by the Treasury Department. A source said that details about the operation mechanism of the fund are still under discussion and no news will be announced in the near future. Before going to the Middle East next week, Trump had stated that he would announce a "very significant statement," but this had nothing to do with the proposed sovereign wealth fund. Trump has not yet decided how to use the profits of sovereign wealth funds. The White House has stated that the Treasury and Commerce departments have developed plans for sovereign wealth funds, but a final decision has not yet been made.
