If the US and Iran reach an agreement, the likelihood of the US continuing its strikes against Iran is very low. Just now, in a phone interview with CNN, Trump stated that if negotiations between the US and Iran continue to progress and the two sides can sign a robust agreement, then the US is highly unlikely to need to resume strikes against Iran. This is Trump's most clearly positive view on a US-Iran agreement in recent times. This view strengthens the probability of a peace agreement between the US and Iran, while also reducing the possibility of a large-scale attack on Iran after the midterm elections, as Trump expressed before the midterm elections. In simpler terms, Trump continues to be a stickler for the issue of the US and Iran. This is helpful in easing oil prices. After the interview, both WTI and Brent (contracts) saw price drops, with WTI falling below $90. Continue to short oil, short the spread between Brent and WTI, short Brent!
