[Star: Users Should Temporarily Avoid Transferring Funds from MEXC to OKX; Funds May Be Frozen and Under Investigation] According to Foresight News, OKX founder and CEO Star Xu, in response to user inquiries, advised users to temporarily refrain from transferring funds directly from MEXC to OKX. OKX's special measures in response to FinCEN are based on prudent risk management standards similar to financial sanctions. Funds from affected platforms may be frozen and under investigation, and related accounts may also be subject to further investigation. Star stated that although FinCEN provided a 30-day transition period, OKX chose to significantly strengthen its risk control measures ahead of time, rather than waiting until the deadline. According to a previous report by Foresight News, the U.S. Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) designated MEXC as a "major money laundering concern" on November 6, alleging that it facilitated approximately $16.7 billion in suspicious transactions between May 2021 and May 2026. The related injunction against fund transfers will take effect 30 days after it is published in the Federal Register.
