[Airbnb Plans to Launch AI Travel Assistant in the First Half of 2027] According to a TechCrunch report on November 6th, Airbnb plans to launch an AI travel assistant in the first half of 2027 to help users plan their trips, compare accommodation options, and provide assistance during their travels. Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky stated that the assistant will combine travel interface components such as maps, photos, comparisons, calendars, and itineraries in real time based on user needs, rather than simply responding through text chat. The company says the assistant will also assist travelers with booking changes, resolving payment issues, processing refunds, rebookings, and obtaining 24/7 security support. In the future, the company expects its capabilities to expand beyond accommodations to include services and experiences.
