[Changpeng Zhao: Binance's Funds Stolen Have a Shortfall of Approximately $2 Billion, SPCX Holdings Can Cover Most of It] Changpeng Zhao (CZ) stated on the X platform that Binance suffered approximately $6 billion in losses from the recent hack, of which $3 billion has been frozen, approximately $1 billion is in the SAFU fund, and the remaining shortfall is approximately $2 billion. CZ stated that Binance holds SPCX shares worth over $1 billion, and the remaining shortfall is "still painful, but manageable." These shares come from Binance's $500 million investment in Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter. CZ previously indicated that the actual losses might be slightly higher, but Binance would bear them.
