Binance: $6.34 Billion in Corporate Funds Reserved to Cover Losses, Asset Recovery Begins for Users. Binance posted on its X platform that it has begun recovering affected assets for users and continues to work with law enforcement, token issuers, blockchain intelligence companies, and industry partners to track, freeze, and recover more funds. Binance stated that it has reserved over $6.34 billion in corporate funds to cover losses from this incident, of which $5 billion is already held in the form of affected tokens of the same type. The remaining portion is being replenished by purchasing corresponding tokens through the market and OTC channels. Due to the low liquidity of some tokens and the time required for OTC settlement, this process may take a considerable amount of time. The above amount does not include frozen or protected assets, of which approximately $3 billion is currently frozen, and Binance is working with partners and law enforcement to recover them.
