HTX and FCA Reach Settlement; Huobi, after 13 years, remains the same Huobi that navigates the storms.
Today, October 29th, the UK's FCA confirmed that it has reached a settlement with Huobi Global S.A. regarding previous legal proceedings.
The matter involved UK regulations on the promotion of crypto assets. According to the announcement, HTX has withdrawn from the UK market, will no longer accept new registrations or deposits from UK users, and is bound by the relevant court commitments.
Seeing this news is quite moving.
Having been in the crypto world for a long time, I've seen too many projects rise to fame overnight, and too many once-glorious platforms slowly disappear.
This industry is never short of stories; what it lacks are people who can keep writing those stories.
Huobi has been around for 13 years.
What does 13 years mean?
Enough to experience several bull and bear market cycles, enough to watch wave after wave of newcomers enter the market, and enough to witness many familiar names gradually fade from the market.
I believe that to get to where we are today, we must have had our moments of glory and many difficult times.
No company can guarantee it will never make mistakes, and no path is always smooth sailing. The important thing is, when faced with problems, whether to choose to escape or to confront them seriously; after experiencing change, whether to stay stagnant or continue to seek a way out.
This settlement with the FCA doesn't mean all issues are resolved, but at least the relevant legal procedures have reached a new stage.
What I'm more concerned about is, after all this, what can HTX still do for its users, and what can it do better?
Because ultimately, what makes users willing to stick with a brand for many years is never just a single event or a single market trend, but the trust built up through repeated experiences.
I've always liked the term "long-termism."
I used to think long-termism was just about perseverance.
Later, after experiencing more, I gradually realized that the real difficulty isn't persisting in doing one thing, but having the courage to continue doing things well after experiencing loss, doubt, setbacks, and change.
This applies to both project development and running a business.
Thirteen years is a long time in the crypto industry.
I hope Huobi HTX will not only continue for another 13 years, but also mature and stabilize, truly becoming a platform that can withstand the test of time.
The road ahead is long and arduous, but every step taken counts.
After the storms, perhaps we won't return to the past, but rather move towards a better version of ourselves.
Blessings to HTX.
May the next 13 years still be filled with passion, continued development, and companionship.
