[Trump Administration's Holdings Span Over 40 Companies, Investing Approximately $30 Billion] Odaily Planet Daily reports that since Trump began his second term, Washington has announced 43 transactions involving stocks or warrants, covering more than 40 companies. Warrants allow holders to acquire equity in the future under agreed-upon conditions. According to estimates by the Council on Foreign Relations, these transactions involve approximately $30 billion. Investments range from semiconductors and critical minerals to quantum computing. Another transaction involves a company vying for Venezuelan oil business, with the U.S. government acquiring a 35% stake. Intel (INTC) is one of the most closely watched investments. In August 2025, the U.S. government acquired a 9.9% stake in the chipmaker for approximately $8.9 billion. With Intel's stock price surging, the market value of the government's stake once rose to $61 billion, but recent market sell-offs have pushed it down to approximately $41 billion. This means that the book value of the government's holdings can fluctuate significantly with market conditions. At the same time, many transactions are accompanied by loans, supply agreements, or other special arrangements, and the legal basis for some of these transaction structures has not been fully tested.
