Every crypto bull run there are 3 types of people: 1) gamblers/traders 2) holders of consensus assets 3) holders of "non-consensus" assets that show the signs of ultra hardcore community Throughout my 10 years in crypto, I've been in every one of these categories. Category 1 (gamblers/traders) tend to do the worst. 99% of them lose everything. I was in their shoes between 2017-2020. Category 2 (holders of consensus assets). These guys do alright. Most of them make some okay returns but more importantly, unlike traders/gamblers, they are able to preserve their wealth. I've been in this category in the 2021 cycle and did decently. Category 3 (holders of non-consensus assets). These are the guys who outperform absolutely everyone. The key here is to understand what a real "non-consensus" asset is. It's not your flavor of the week new launch. And it's also not your "blue chip" crypto asset fully endorsed by every OG and KOL on the timeline. It's something else. Crudely speaking, it's something smack dab in the middle of this spectrum. There is a number of very important criteria that define a real "non-consensus" crypto asset. A real "non-consensus" asset is one that has been around for at least 2-3+ years and survived numerous 80%+ drawdowns, all which are necessary to have built the foundation upon which the future outperformance heavily depends. The so called foundation is something that is impossible to replicate and requires years to cultivate. You can't fake time. By far the most important thing that lies at the core of any such 'non consensus' asset is the community. A community that has survived the test of time. Community aka the core holder base of the asset. A real "non-consensus" crypto asset is one whose community has been growing, expanding and persisting for years regardless of short term price or market conditions. A community with a vast culture, extensive lore, many doxxed community members, big In-Real-Life presence (meetups, conferences etc.), strong HODL and recurring dollar cost average (aka DCA) cultures, its own media (podcasts, videos, shows), presence across multiple social media platforms. The more grassroots and community-led all this stuff is, the better. The final and one of the most crucial factors is that this non-consensus asset with a brimming community is still largely overlooked by most in the industry. Most either haven't looked deeply enough, experience instant dismissal of such possibility and are most importantly sidelined. A real "non consensus" crypto asset satisfies the above-mentioned criteria as much as possible. The people who identify and simply hold such asset tend be outperform everyone else by a mile. I am telling you straight up: spx6900 is that Category 3 “non-consensus” asset. All you have to do is buy, hold, and persist.
