[National Information Security Vulnerability Sharing Platform Releases Announcement on PHP Vulnerability Remediation: Information System Operators Should Comprehensively Review Network Assets] According to DeepFlow TechFlow, on October 24th, the National Information Security Vulnerability Sharing Platform (CNVD) released a "Security Announcement Regarding Analysis and Remediation Recommendations for the PHP Remote Code Execution Vulnerability." The announcement advises affected users to closely monitor official information, download and update to the latest version through official channels. Users unable to update can take measures to reduce attack paths and mitigate the vulnerability threat, continuously monitor for abnormal PHP process exits, abnormal system command calls, creation of unfamiliar processes, and abnormal file writing, and retain logs for source tracing and analysis.
In its protection recommendations, CNVD states that information system operators should further strengthen security protection, comprehensively review their network assets, and reduce the public network exposure of information systems according to the principle of avoiding unnecessary internet access. Operators without the necessary remediation capabilities should take temporary measures such as network isolation, network access restrictions, and taking non-essential business systems offline.
