SpaceX's AI revenue has already surpassed Starlink, and now there’s buzz about Musk discussing a potential merger with Tesla. Tomorrow’s TSLA earnings report in the early hours is definitely worth watching.
SpaceX Q3 revenue hit approximately $14.6 billion, up 161% year-over-year, with AI-related business revenue reaching $7.56 billion. However, quarterly capital expenditures also neared $19.6 billion, with about $16.4 billion invested in AI.
Tesla, Meta, and IBM are all releasing earnings reports back-to-back, and here are the three key things to watch:
1. Meta: Can AI-driven ad growth cover the cost of computing power?
2. IBM: Can AI orders actually translate into revenue?
3. Tesla: How much profit can the automotive business still generate? And how much will be invested in Robotaxi and robots?
Tesla, in particular, is in the spotlight. Musk continues to double down on AI, autonomous driving, and robotics, while the market is also speculating about the potential integration of SpaceX and Tesla. However, discussions so far haven’t led to a definitive deal, and a merger is far from certain.
Rather than chasing new stories, it’s more important to focus on Tesla’s automotive profit margins and cash flow, as well as management’s updates on the commercialization timeline for Robotaxi.
What will you prioritize: the profitability of the automotive business or the progress of Robotaxi?
