[SpaceX and Tesla Form Special Committees to Explore Merger Possibility] BlockBeats reports that on October 21, SpaceX (SPCX.O) and Tesla (TSLA.O) have established special committees to explore a potential merger. During SpaceX's earnings call, Elon Musk revealed that both companies have separately formed committees composed of independent directors to assess the feasibility of a potential transaction. Musk stated: 'Since I am a party with a conflict of interest, I cannot actually participate in the related discussions.' However, he also added, 'I think this would be a good idea.' Musk pointed out that strengthening collaboration between the two companies in technological fields such as artificial intelligence, chips, robotics, and communication connectivity could yield significant potential benefits. However, he also emphasized that a merger is not a foregone conclusion. Musk remarked: 'It would be an overstatement to say that this matter is already decided.' He further noted that the transaction would require approval from 50% of Tesla's shareholders, describing this as a fairly high threshold.
