BlockBeats News, October 15 — OneKey founder Yishi announced that following the exposure of the Ledger implant incident, many users are concerned about whether their hardware wallets have been tampered with. In response, OneKey has developed and funded the launch of a hardware wallet inspection website called "Yishi Jianbao," aimed at helping users identify potential abnormal implants on their device's motherboard.
This tool applies unified prompts, judgment rules, and result wording for Ledger, OneKey, and Trezor wallets, without giving special treatment to OneKey's own devices. Regarding the inspection process, users can disassemble their devices, take photos of the motherboard, and upload them. The photos are first resized by the browser to no more than 2048 pixels and re-encoded to remove metadata such as GPS location. They are then transmitted via Cloudflare to Anthropic's Claude visual model for analysis. The model identifies whether the motherboard matches the device model, the main chip model, and visible text, while marking abnormal components such as extra chips, modules, antennas, and fly wires.
The final result is determined by fixed rules rather than directly by the model: if the main chip is identifiable, the model matches, and no extra components are found, the result is "Not Worrisome"; if the chip model does not match or abnormal components are detected, the result is "Worrisome"; if the photo is insufficient for judgment, users will be prompted to retake the photo.
Yishi emphasized that the tool does not recommend users switch wallet brands and does not include advertisements, though store links in the OneKey guide contain referral codes, which are clearly marked. The tool's inspection results are for reference only and cannot serve as proof of device security: it cannot inspect firmware, software, internal chip components, or parts beneath shielding, screens, or batteries, nor can it distinguish counterfeit chips with identical silk-screen markings. Additionally, the visual model may still experience missed detections or false positives, so users should consider it as one of multiple security checks rather than a certification of safety. Official inspections and contacting device manufacturers' customer service remain necessary steps. [Original Link]
