[Institution: Gold Stabilizes and Rebounds but Pressure Remains, Market Awaits U.S. Economic Data Guidance]
Odaily Planet Daily News – Institutional analysis indicates that spot gold saw a slight increase on Tuesday but remains trading below $4,200 per ounce. This follows a surge in U.S. Treasury yields to multi-decade highs and a rise in crude oil prices, which triggered a sell-off in the precious metals market on Monday. IG analysts stated: 'As market expectations grow that the Federal Reserve will maintain high interest rates for an extended period, diminishing investor interest in non-yielding assets, gold has only slightly rebounded and remains near its lowest level since early August.' According to the CME FedWatch Tool, traders currently estimate a 72.5% probability of a Federal Reserve rate hike in October. The market is now focused on a series of U.S. economic data, including the consumer confidence index and job openings data set to be released later Tuesday evening. (Jin10)
