[Institution: Fed Rate Hike 'Fundamentally Unnecessary,' Overall Economy Stable] Jin10 News, September 12 – Liz Miller, founder and president of U.S. wealth management firm Summit Place Financial Advisors, stated that although the market widely expects the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates next week, further tightening of policy is 'fundamentally unnecessary' given the overall economic stability. Miller said, 'I believe most investors think the Fed will raise rates next week, and I also believe the probability is high. But this is fundamentally unnecessary. I would love to hear the discussions during the decision-making process because some Fed governors firmly believe that action is needed ahead of a potential rise in overall inflation to push it back to the 2% target. However, if we take a patient perspective and examine other parts of the economy, their performance is actually quite stable. I’m not sure if there is truly a need for a comprehensive rate hike. We can continue to observe whether the rise in oil prices will have a spillover effect and watch core inflation gradually decline.'
