[Chainalysis: North Korean Hackers Use Xinbi Platform's 'Black U' Service to Launder Tens of Millions in Stolen Crypto Assets] According to an investigation by Chainalysis, threat organizations linked to North Korea have transferred and laundered tens of millions of dollars worth of stolen crypto assets through the recently sanctioned cybercrime marketplace Xinbi Guarantee. The investigation reveals that the hackers utilized the 'Black U' money laundering service on the Xinbi platform to exchange traceable stolen assets with stablecoins obtained from illegal activities such as pig-butchering scams and romance fraud. These stablecoins were then converted into fiat currency via unlicensed over-the-counter trading platforms, reducing the traceability of the funds. A fund flow chart released by Chainalysis shows that this method involves funds related to the Bybit and WazirX attack incidents.
