[Reports Suggest 1c nm Expected to Become SK Hynix's Mainstream Process by Early 2027]
According to DeepTech TechFlow, on September 7, SK Hynix is rapidly expanding the production capacity share of its sixth-generation 10nm-class DRAM process, 1c nm. As 1c DRAM will serve as the core chip for stacking HBM and will be applied to next-generation high-bandwidth memory, the company is accelerating its process transition. Industry insiders reveal that SK Hynix's 1c DRAM market share has grown from approximately 10% in the first quarter of this year to around 13% in the second quarter. It is expected to rise to about 24% in the third quarter and reach approximately 34% in the fourth quarter. By the first quarter of next year, the market share of 1c nm is anticipated to climb to around 35%, surpassing 1b (approximately 33%) for the first time and becoming the mainstream process. (Jin10)
