**[Cloudflare Launches AI-Agent-Specific Browser Kitesurf]** According to TechCrunch, Cloudflare has launched Kitesurf, a cloud-hosted browser specifically designed for AI agents, enabling them to navigate websites, fill out forms, and complete other browser-based tasks like humans. Unlike traditional browsers, Kitesurf does not focus on visual elements but instead manages context windows, performance, token costs, and scalability, while addressing different threat models such as prompt injection attacks. Kitesurf is built on Cloudflare's serverless Workers platform and was developed within 12 weeks. A free beta version is now available. The browser is more efficient in CPU and memory usage compared to Chromium for common agent tasks like screenshots and HTML extraction, and it has passed approximately 215,000 Web Platform Tests.
