Karp is absolutely right, but Fortune 500 companies can't do much about it.
Either they keep feeding their 'precious' know-how into the models, training their future competitors, and eventually die later; or they stop using the models now and die immediately...
From this perspective, there might not be a Fortune 500 in the future—maybe just a Fortune 5.
The things Karp is angrily ranting about are very likely to happen in the future. For example: model companies directly taking equity from Fortune 500 companies instead of selling tokens.
As for Karp himself, as the CEO of PLTR, a SaaS company that will likely be overshadowed by model capabilities, this interview feels like his final cry of despair.
