[Judge Rejects Google's Request, Search Data Sharing Order Remains in Effect] Deep Tide TechFlow reports, on May 8, according to Bloomberg, U.S. federal judge Amit Mehta rejected a request from Alphabet (Google's parent company) to suspend the enforcement order on Thursday local time. Previously, Google was found to have illegally monopolized the online search market and was required to open its underlying search data to competitors during the appeal process. The judge stated that since the actual implementation of data sharing would take at least several months, Google is not currently facing any immediate risk of harm, and thus the suspension request was denied.
