Today I came across an interesting idea: when two countries go to war, there's no need to attack the enemy nation—just airdrop weapons to their people. If the people pick up the weapons to defend their country, then the war isn't worth fighting. If the people pick up the weapons to target their own government, then the war doesn't need to be fought at all.
