Vitalik: The new EVM chain should be innovative and truly rely on Ethereum to avoid blind replication BlockBeats News: On February 5th, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin stated in a post that "currently, a large number of new EVM chains are simply replicating existing architectures or connecting Ethereum through optimistic bridges with a one week delay. This approach is similar to repeatedly replicating Compound in governance. Although it is' comfortable ', it has long exhausted innovation and led the ecosystem to a dead end. If the new chain does not have an optimistic bridge connection with Ethereum (i.e. a pure replacement for L1), the situation is even worse. What the ecosystem really needs is projects that can bring new features, such as privacy protection, application specific efficiency, or ultra-low latency. The form of 'Ethereum connection' must match the actual functionality. For example, market prediction applications can issue and settle markets, manage user accounts on L1, but transaction execution occurs in a Rollup or L2 system, which verifies signatures and market status through L1. The architecture of deep connectivity L1 should be prioritized over formal bridging to gain recognition. Another type of "application chain" can verify algorithm execution on government, social media, or gaming platforms, ensuring that updates are authorized and executed according to pre promised rules through technologies such as STARK. Although this type of chain is not entirely Ethereum, it can provide algorithm transparency and minimize trust, promoting previously impossible economic activities. New projects should achieve two points: firstly, truly bring innovation, not just replicate existing EVM chains; Secondly, the public relations image should match the actual functions, and the project's claimed level of connection with Ethereum should truly reflect its technological and ecological dependencies, ensuring ecological interoperability and long-term value
