Saw early this morning that the @Polymarket app went live in the US, so I quickly checked the web version, but it’s not up yet.
The reason I’m paying so much attention to this is because the team’s Chief Marketing Officer once said:
The airdrop and token launch will happen after Polymarket completes its US market relaunch.
The key question is, does the relaunch mean just the app going live in the US, or both the app and web version being fully operational? I’m leaning towards the latter. Also, it seems like the app version requires an invite code right now. I don’t use Apple, so I can’t check it out.
Previously, many predictions said the token would launch in Q1 2026, but I noticed that on October 29, Jinse Finance published an article saying, “Polymarket will return to the US by the end of November, launch the POLY token, and conduct an airdrop.” Very interesting.
I asked the same question on grok, GPT, and Gemini: “When will Polymarket launch its token?”
Both grok and Gemini3 said Q1 2026, and after some fine-tuning, GPT also agreed it would be Q1 2026. This aligns with Polymarket’s clear statement: “US launch first, then token release.” Considering that after the launch, they’ll still need time for testing, stabilization, accumulating trading data, and preparing the token model + airdrop mechanism, it seems more likely that the token/airdrop will be scheduled for Q1 2026.
Some people are saying the “Will Polymarket US go live in 2025?” prediction market has a 77% ‘yes’ vote! So there’s hope for 2025. I don’t think so. Even if there’s a one-week beta test and it opens next week, Americans will only have about 20 days before Christmas. The team will still need a few months of usage in the US before launching the token.
Poly, see you in Q1 2026!
