Why founders need to be hands on? It’s every founders dream to see team members who seemingly take ownership and do things. You might think you are living the dream (I indulge myself in that illusion once in a while!) The trap lies in everyone appearing busy like group chats filled with new msgs, documents flying around. Those scenes might be ok for employees but very dangerous for founders. Before you notice it, you have wasted 3 more months of runway, random spends and buggy products. Hence looking into execution details (QA) from time to time helps your company to stay on track and helps your employees to orient themselves and effectively add value. With proper guidance, nobody can be a bad employee imo. As current employees who intrinsically want to grow, do try to ask yourself constantly if what you do at current moment of time adds value to the company and boosts your performance, are you strategic enough with who you converse with and where you spend your time. After all, the result is what you can brag about when you interview for the next company and your experience, skillset and network are gonna set you up when you start your own business not useless chat groups or easy partners. #thoughtoftheday
