CoinRabbit, a crypto asset management platform, has passed six years with no security incident and no loss of client assets, while holding an average loan turnaround of about ten minutes. CoinRabbit launched in 2020 with a team that combined risk management and cybersecurity experience with blockchain development, and the custody partner was the call it had to get right before anything else. In crypto lending, a user posts assets as collateral, and those assets stay with the custodian for as long as the loan is active. A breach or weak protection there reaches past any single transaction to client funds and the platform’s reputation.

The market of 2020 left little room for a slow build. At that time mature, usable custody solutions barely existed: most projects were still in development. So any delay meant ceding ground to whoever shipped first. A long build cycle and a custody stack written from scratch were both ruled out. Wallet operations, access, deposits, and collateral ran on ChangeNOW’s infrastructure, along the rights split CoinRabbit had set as a requirement: the provider carried the load, while control over data and operations stayed with CoinRabbit. That division let the platform keep custody strict and the borrowing path short at the same time.

Onboarding was short. A first call scoped the request, a dedicated partner channel on Telegram handled questions in real time, and after account registration the KYB check took a couple of days. Once custody was live, the NOWCustody team stayed reachable for documentation and follow-up, and it took on changes and additions when CoinRabbit asked for them. The relationship has since grown into a standing one, with a dedicated account manager and a direct line to support on CoinRabbit’s side.

As CoinRabbit’s client base and asset volumes grew, the demands around accountability and protection rose with them, and the integration was tuned to each new need. When the platform moved toward high-net-worth and institutional clients, larger portfolios raised the bar on custody, and NOWCustody came back with proposals of its own rather than waiting for a brief. The integration stack took on more layers of protection and finer-grained access controls over time, and transaction speed held through the changes. The custody model itself did not change, and the storage infrastructure was not rewritten.
