Currently, the platform is not lacking in traffic; what it lacks is a sufficiently interesting new narrative without the controversy of "insider trading".
Before the front end of Pools.trade officially opened, "P Junior" had already gone through a round of P.
At 0:00 on August 5, there was a 24-hour countdown until Uniswap's Pools.trade officially opened. During the countdown, the community found the early deployed contracts of the platform in advance and directly traded the already issued tokens on-chain. By the time the front end of Pools.trade officially opened, these early contracts had already generated over $150 million in trading volume.
In response, Uniswap founder Hayden Adams stated that the large volume of early transactions forced the team to readjust the website and data indexing, while also accommodating testing contracts and final version contracts, thus disrupting the originally planned launch pace.
The sense of panic displayed by a DeFi veteran like Uniswap has somewhat a "makeshift" feeling, but the trading data is solidly high. Dune's data shows that on August 5 alone (the front end did not officially open until the morning of August 6, and most of the trading data was generated before the front end went live), the trading volume on Pools.trade reached $99.1 million, accounting for about 54.2% of the total trading volume of the day on the Robinhood Chain token issuance platform, far exceeding Pons, which had topped the charts for two weeks prior.
Pools.trade: The token issuance platform personally launched by Uniswap
Project Introduction
Pools.trade is the token issuance platform launched by Uniswap Labs on the Robinhood Chain, officially positioned as a Meme coin launchpad where users can issue coins, find new coins, and trade all on the same page. The total supply of each token is fixed at 1 billion, and they will eventually enter Uniswap v4 with liquidity permanently locked.
Tokens issued by Pools.trade will be immediately integrated into the Uniswap web interface, wallets, Launches page, and Trading API, and will reach MetaMask, Ledger, and multiple DEX aggregators. Compared to new platforms that have to find trading entry points from scratch, Pools.trade already has Uniswap's ready-made users and distribution channels when it goes live.
Two Issuance Methods
Pools.trade offers two modes: Instant Launch and Crowd Launch, respectively:
· Instant Launch: Tokens are issued immediately. After the creator fills in the name, ticker, image, and description, the token is directly open for trading, with prices fluctuating with market buy and sell, without a minimum market cap requirement or fixed end time;
· Crowd Launch: A four-hour issuance window is adopted. Participants submit a budget in advance, and orders are gradually executed in the remaining time, where the earlier participation usually results in lower prices. After the issuance ends, tokens can enter trading once their FDV reaches $10,000; if the threshold is not met, all participating funds will be refunded. This model is primarily used to reduce the impact of bots on opening price surges and bundled trading.
The Platform's Most Notable Feature: Transaction Fees Only a Quarter of Pons and Flap
Pools.trade does not charge any additional launch pad fees, with each transaction incurring a 0.25% Uniswap v4 pool fee. Once the creator enables profit sharing, 0.05% goes to the creator, while 0.20% is automatically reinvested into the permanently locked liquidity pool, with Uniswap Labs not participating in the profit sharing.
The transaction fees for Pons and Flap are both 1%. Based on a trading volume of $10 million, Pools.trade generates $25,000 in fees, of which the token creator receives $5,000; Pons generates $100,000 in fees, and with a 70% profit sharing for creators, they can receive $70,000.
Pools.trade reduced transaction costs and kept most of the fees within liquidity; Pons and Flap leave token creators with higher income. The former is more beneficial for trading, while the latter provides more direct incentives for token creators.

Only Two With Market Capitalization Over One Million Dollars, Early Minting Raises Fairness Concerns
Compared to the impressive number of token issuances and platform trading volume, Pools.trade has not seen the emergence of any high-market-cap Meme coin. So far, there are only two tokens on Pools.trade with a market cap above $1 million, namely FRONG and POOLS; additionally, tokens with market caps above $400,000 include HOOKR, UNIPEG, CHWDR, and PosM.

FRONG, Market Cap Once Reached $18 Million
FRONG is currently the highest market cap Meme on Pools.trade. At 0:00 on August 5, Uniswap's official Twitter account initiated a 24-hour countdown for Pools.trade's launch and released a video of a frog "playing" by a pond.

Following the tweet, the community quickly noted the frog Meme coin—FRONG—issued through the early contracts on Pools.trade, viewing it as a mascot concept coin for the platform. Influenced by FOMO sentiment, FRONG's market cap briefly reached $18 million.

However, before Uniswap began the countdown to the launch of Pools.trade, FRONG had already been minted through the contract. On-chain records show that FRONG was minted and a trading pool was established as early as July 30, five days earlier than the Uniswap countdown announcement; related contracts were even deployed about three weeks in advance, without indicating any relationship to Uniswap or Pools.trade at the time.
As this time gap was discovered, the fairness of FRONG's issuance began to be questioned, and its market cap quickly fell from the high point. Even though Pools.trade officially launched at 0:00 yesterday, FRONG did not receive community support, and its market cap has remained below $10 million, currently reported at $7 million.
POOLS, Market Cap Once Surpassed $4 Million
The second-ranked market cap token currently on Pools.trade, POOLS, is similar to FRONG, as it is also a Meme coin that was minted before the platform's official launch.
Compared to FRONG's "frog mascot" narrative, POOLS's narrative logic is more straightforward — its name is the same as the platform, and the community regards it as Pools.trade concept coin. Its market cap once surpassed $4 million but later fell back to about $1.8 million.

FRONG relied on the "frog mascot" narrative, while POOLS depended on the platform's name; both should have had higher market cap expectations, but both saw community FOMO sentiment drastically decrease due to the controversies of pre-minting, resulting in their market caps remaining below $10 million.
The fundamental logic of Meme coins is that everyone is willing to believe they are starting on the same starting line. Once fairness is questioned, even the best token narrative struggles to sustain community-driven propagation. This may be why Pools.trade, despite impressive data, has yet to launch a high market cap Meme.
However, Pools.trade is backed by Uniswap, and Robinhood Chain is also one of the hottest public chains in meme discussions right now. Currently, the platform is not lacking in traffic; what it lacks is a sufficiently interesting new narrative without the controversy of "insider trading". Pools.trade could soon see the emergence of the first "speed run" token.
