Hong Kong, July 13, 2026Cyberport, as a core anchor and pioneer in the development of Web 4.0, is dedicated to promoting Hong Kong as a global hub for Web 4.0. The first Web 4.0 and Agentic Innovation Summit and the launch ceremony of the Cyberport OPC Hub organized by Cyberport was successfully held today. Cyberport officially launched Hong Kong's first innovation and entrepreneurship base specifically designed for "One-Person Companies" (OPC), and announced the establishment of the "Web 4.0 and Agentic Safety Alliance" on the spot, opening a new chapter in the development of a trusted Web 4.0 and agentic applications in Hong Kong’s innovation and technology ecosystem. The summit brought together industry leaders, new-generation entrepreneurs, and representatives from the innovation ecosystem to discuss the reshaping of enterprise productivity, entrepreneurial models, and organizational forms in the era of agentic artificial intelligence.

The establishment of the Cyberport OPC Hub responds to the rapid evolution and widespread adoption of AI agents and agentic artificial intelligence technology, as well as the emergence of related tools and platforms. With the continuous improvement of AI capabilities, more individual entrepreneurs can break traditional resource and scale limitations, quickly transforming innovative ideas, professional experiences, and industry insights into impactful products and services. For example, work such as research analysis, customer service, marketing, and operations management, which previously required collaboration among teams or different departments, can now be efficiently completed through agents and AI tools, providing more flexible and cost-effective development paths for the new generation of entrepreneurs.

Dr. Eric Chan, CEO of Cyberport stated: "Cyberport has launched Hong Kong's first OPC Hub tailored for 'One-Person Companies,' providing one-stop entrepreneurship support to help entrepreneurs and young dreamers seize new opportunities in the age of artificial intelligence. At the same time, the accelerated popularization of agentic artificial intelligence and AI agent applications also comes with the need for related safety precautions and risk governance. Therefore, we established the 'Web 4.0 and Agentic Safety Alliance' to work with industry partners to promote practical and feasible industry frameworks, best practices, and safety application demonstrations, jointly facilitating the trusted development of agentic artificial intelligence. Cyberport will continue to play the role of a core hub in the development of Web 4.0, connecting innovative talent, technology, capital, and industrial resources, promoting more agentic innovative applications and entrepreneurial projects, and helping Hong Kong become a global hub for Web 4.0 innovation and entrepreneurship."

Cyberport OPC Hub Provides One-Stop AI Support

To accurately respond to the market needs for the development of "One-Person Companies," Cyberport has launched Hong Kong's first innovation and entrepreneurship base specifically designed for "One-Person Companies" – Cyberport OPC Hub, aimed at integrating the innovation and technology resources and networks of the Cyberport community, collaborating with international industry leaders such as Alibaba Cloud, AWS, BytePlus, Cobo, Dell Technologies, FizzDragon, Lenovo, NVIDIA, etc., to provide eligible OPC members with one-stop support, including AI inference and computing resources, model usage quotas, cloud services, agentic artificial intelligence, AI agents, and network security support required for blockchain related applications, shared workspaces, investor matchmaking, industry connections, marketing and product showcases, training and exchanges, etc., enabling deep application of AI entrepreneurs and small teams to conduct product research and development, operations, and business expansion more efficiently.

The Cyberport OPC Hub welcomes entrepreneurs from Hong Kong and around the world to apply for residency. Applicants must be Hong Kong registered companies established for no more than two years, and do not need to be existing Cyberport members, and must demonstrate a strong correlation between their business and AI agents, including developing specific industry-specific agent solutions, integrating blockchain and financial infrastructure for agent applications, or providing tools and technologies that support the development of the artificial intelligence ecosystem.

The "Web 4.0 and Agentic Safety Alliance" is Established to Build an AI Security Safety Net

To address the new types of cybersecurity risks arising from the integration of agents and blockchain development in the Web 4.0 era, Cyberport has simultaneously established the Web 4.0 and Agentic Safety Alliance (the Alliance), which held its founding ceremony today and welcomed 12 leading security service companies as founding members, including 360 Digital Security Group, Beosin, BlockSec, CertiK, Anheng Information, Four Directions Innovation (Hong Kong), Hillstone Networks, Yongxin Zhi Cheng, Nyxlab, Qingteng Cloud Security, Sangfor, and Slow Mist Technology, among industry leaders, with the Hong Kong Cybersecurity Professionals Association serving as the Alliance's advisor.

The Alliance aims to construct a trusted Web 4.0 and agentic ecosystem and adoption, focusing on four major objectives: promoting cross-industry collaboration to address security challenges; advocating the establishment of practical security principles, best practices, and industry framework guidelines; creating a database of demonstration and real scenario cases; and fostering ecosystem participation.

Cyberport is Hong Kong's digital technology hub and artificial intelligence accelerator, gathering over 500 startups focusing on artificial intelligence and big data research and development, over 310 blockchain and digital asset companies, and over 30 cybersecurity technology companies, creating a comprehensive and secure artificial intelligence ecosystem. Web 4.0 can be understood as the "agentic, programmable internet" that combines agentic artificial intelligence with Web 3.0. As an important direction for the development of the new generation digital economy, Web 4.0 will bring capabilities such as autonomous execution, intelligent collaboration, and programmable value exchange, further promoting the integrated development of artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digital asset applications. With the establishment of the Cyberport OPC Hub and the Web 4.0 and Agentic Safety Alliance, Cyberport will further deepen the integration of artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cybersecurity, transforming the strong advantages of its ecosystem into precise empowerment for One-Person Companies, helping Hong Kong create a new generation digital future and promoting Hong Kong as a global Web 4.0 hub.
