The White House says negotiations with Iran are progressing smoothly

White House Assistant Press Secretary Olivia Wells told Fox News and other media that the U.S.-Iran talks are progressing well.

"As President Trump said, the negotiations are progressing smoothly, and he has clearly defined the red lines," Wells said in an email, according to American news media reports.

"President Trump will only reach a good deal for the American people, and it must ensure that Iran can never have nuclear weapons."

Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the Iran deal but said, "We will be satisfied."

The U.S. President reiterated that he believes the Iranian leaders really want to reach a deal.

"So far, they haven't done it. We are not satisfied with that, but we will be satisfied. We will," Trump told reporters before a cabinet meeting at the White House.

"Otherwise, we will have to get this done."
