He believes that the policy limiting Nvidia's chip exports to China effectively gives the Chinese market to local tech companies.

Huang Renxun stated that U.S. export controls have reduced Nvidia's market share in the Chinese AI accelerator market to "zero," while Chinese technology is maturing and may compete globally with U.S. companies. He expressed that if the U.S. wants to maintain leadership in the AI field, it should allow global developers to build on the U.S. tech stack rather than relinquishing important markets through export restrictions.

He also pointed out that China has a large number of AI researchers and developers, and if U.S. companies cannot participate, China's local chip and software ecosystem will have room for development.
