AI summarizes in 5 seconds.

PANews May 3 news, a survey conducted by CoinDesk among 1,000 registered voters in the United States shows that only 1% of respondents listed cryptocurrency as the most important issue in the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, ranking almost at the bottom among all concerns. In contrast, the cost of living (36%), employment and economy (13%), and social security and healthcare (11%) emerged as the top concerns for voters.

The survey also indicated that American voters generally hold a rather negative view of cryptocurrency, with only 27% of respondents stating they have ever invested in, traded, or used cryptocurrency, while another 27% indicated they might participate in the future. About 47% of respondents believe the Republican Party is more friendly towards cryptocurrency, while only 14% think the Democratic Party is more supportive of the crypto industry; however, in terms of "which party they trust more to manage crypto affairs," the Democratic Party slightly leads at 27% over the Republican Party's 25%, with another 40% expressing distrust towards both parties.

Although cryptocurrency is not a core election issue, about 40% of respondents still indicated they are more inclined to vote for candidates who align with their views on cryptocurrency, showing that the issue of digital assets continues to gain influence in American politics.
